Description
Operational Rope Descending Gloves (Rope-to-Gun) - MoG Fast Rope Tactical
Professional MoG Fast Rope Tactical 9165 (Rope-to-Gun) operational rope descending gloves. Designed in collaboration with Special Forces, featuring a Para-Aramid lining and heat resistance up to 250°C.
The professional MoG Fast Rope Tactical 9165 operational gloves are a premium, specialized hand protection system designed specifically for the demanding requirements of military and law enforcement operations. They were developed in close collaboration with the Instruction Group Rotary Wing (Royal Netherlands Army), with the primary objective of meeting the critical need for a "rope-to-gun" glove. This glove provides outstanding protection during fast roping from helicopters or buildings while allowing the operator to transition immediately and seamlessly to weapon handling without delay.
The key feature of these tactical gloves is their multi-layer construction with an internal Para-Aramid lining. This advanced combination creates a highly effective thermal barrier against heat buildup caused by rope friction. The MoG Fast Rope 9165 achieves the highest abrasion resistance certification under EN 388, while its thermal protection reaches contact heat level 2 according to EN 407, protecting the operator's hands for up to 15 seconds at temperatures up to 250°C. The palm is made from premium goat leather and reinforced at critical wear points with durable split leather, ensuring outstanding grip on both dry and wet ropes.
Despite its high level of protection, the slim-fit finger construction prevents material twisting while providing exceptional tactile sensitivity (high finger sensitivity). For maximum control, the index fingertip features a single-layer construction, delivering excellent trigger feel and precise trigger control. Additionally, the index finger and thumb are made from conductive leather, making the gloves fully touchscreen compatible for immediate operation of tactical communication devices and smartphones in the field.
Comfort and ergonomics are enhanced by the low-profile slim cuff with integrated elastic, providing excellent compatibility with tactical watches and uniform sleeves without restricting wrist movement. The glove back combines flexible, breathable nylon fabric with a large neoprene insert, providing basic impact protection. Finally, a heavy-duty pull tab allows the gloves to be easily secured to belts or D-rings using a carabiner and can be folded away when not in use.

Tactical Corner Tip: Proper Equipment Setup & Quick Draw Configuration in the Field
Managing Friction & Proper Fast Rope Technique: Although the Para-Aramid lining provides outstanding heat protection (up to 250°C), prolonged and improper pressure on the rope can still place unnecessary stress on the leather. Technical Tip: During fast roping, take advantage of the strategically reinforced split leather areas on the palm and avoid excessively gripping the rope with your fingers. Primary braking should be performed with the palm, allowing the single-layer index finger to remain free and immediately ready for precise trigger placement as soon as you reach the ground.
Goat Leather Care & Long-Term Maintenance: Natural goat leather offers the ideal balance between grip and tactile feel, but exposure to wet ropes, mud, and sweat can dry the leather over time. Field Advice: If the gloves become wet during an operation, do not dry them in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this will harden the leather and reduce its flexibility. Allow them to air dry naturally. If storing them in a backpack, use the integrated hanging loop to secure them externally with a carabiner, allowing proper ventilation.
