Cleaning & Care Tip: To keep the Kershaw Shoreline's assisted opening mechanism operating smoothly, never immerse the entire knife in water and never place it in a dishwasher. After use—especially when cutting food, adhesive-coated cardboard, or damp materials—clean the blade with a soft damp cloth and mild soap. Dry it immediately and thoroughly. If dust or lint accumulates inside the Liner Lock mechanism, remove it using compressed air or a clean toothbrush.
Sharpening & Lubrication: The 8Cr13MoV steel is exceptionally easy to sharpen. To maintain a razor-sharp edge, periodically use a quality sharpening system with ceramic rods or a fine whetstone, maintaining the proper sharpening angle.
